Proud to be a Part of the Opportunity Corridor Project

The Opportunity Corridor is a 3 mile boulevard in Cleveland connecting Interstate 490 to University Circle, built to improve access through historically underserved east-side neighborhoods. Completed in 2021, it cost over $300 million.

Beyond transportation, the project was intended to stimulate economic development by opening up land for new businesses, jobs, and redevelopment along the corridor. 

HZW has been a proud partner of the creation of the Opportunity Corridor Project since 2009. HZW’s part in the project includes being an asset on the environmental considerations side, providing our knowledge and expertise to ensure that the project doesn’t just benefit the city, but is also environmentally friendly.
