Cuyahoga County Landbank Partnership

HZW is proud to partner with the Cuyahoga County Landbank, a nonprofit corporation that advances community goals through the framework of the Ohio statute establishing county land banks by revitalizing neighborhoods, promoting economic growth, and creating job and workforce development opportunities. 

The Landbank partners with HZW to advance brownfield remediation initiatives. HZW provides technical expertise by conducting environmental investigations, developing remedial action plans, and overseeing cleanup activities to ensure sites are restored to productive use.

We have enjoyed working on revitalizing the Cuyahoga and Cleveland areas with the Cuyahoga County Landbank. Our most recent project together involves the cleanup of a Site Readiness Fund project at 7500 Sherman Avenue in Cleveland. The once central industrial base has not been developed because of legacy environmental conditions, though through the HZW and Cuyahoga County Landbank partnership, the site is anticipated to be redeveloped as a manufacturing hub and key piece to catalyze the surrounding neighborhood growth.
